Yay! A new brunch place opened in Foster City. I love the cozy seating, modern interior and great lighting. My co-workers and I decided to peel ourselves away from work and actually have a sit-down lunch. I had the Farm Fresh Omelette, another had the Golden State Omelette, and another had the Fiery Crab Salad. Wish they had more gluten-free options. Food came out promptly. You can have omelettes and salads at any café, but it's the presentation that makes you want to just bite into your food with delight. We all finished our plates clean. Next to us, someone ordered the Chicken Croffles. That turned our heads...it was a chicken and waffle dish artfully piled high. It looked sooo delicious. I think the best part of our experience was the amazingly friendly service. One of the servers recognized me from another restaurant (Chuan Chim) where she works that I frequent and chatted with me for a bit - just love her! I hope they're able to maintain that level of customer service because that's what makes this place special.
Arrived on a Sunday around 10:45a and we barely received a greeting but were seated immediately. We ordered coffee, chicken croffle and chicken shibuya (their current special dish). The coffee came out piping hot (which I love) and while it was a dark roast it wasn't too strong. We've been to their sister restaurant, Toast and Glory (T&G), and their coffee seemed stronger. The food didn't take long to arrive and I think Toast In Town's chicken croffle is slightly better than T&G. Their chicken came out crispier and the breading had more flavor. My only humble suggestion would be for them to brine the chicken because it was a little dry. Croffle was fantastic as usual. Chicken shibuya dish turned out to be the same chicken that came with my croffle but had a sweet/salty Asian sauce on top. It came with rice and a side salad and it was delicious. Service attitude seemed to warm up as time went on (although the female server who got us coffee was nice and smiling the entire time) but T&G definitely has way friendlier service. I'd definitely come back.
Wife and I were looking for something new to try, and landed on Toast In Town. The wait wasn’t bad, probably because it was Memorial Day weekend.

The food was fantastic, paired with excellent service, a beautifully designed interior, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s also incredibly kid-friendly, with thoughtful touches like kids’ plates and water.
This place is still in their soft-opening phase, but it’s an absolutely wonderful addition to foster city. I was in the area and decided to grab brunch with my friend. The wait was short, during peak breakfast time, and the staff was all very sweet. Not to mention, the food was phenomenal. The chicken croffles was so cool! And the scramble was great. Pricing is very reasonable for a pretty filling breakfast. The cheese rolls (with corn) were not our favorite but it didn’t ruin our experience.
The food is great and they put a lot of effort into the variety of ingredients. For example, there were at least 3 different kinds of potatoes, and similarly for the salad. The ingredients seem very fresh, and the portion sizes were large.
I recently visited Toast In Town, and it was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere I had the pleasure of enjoying a truly delightful breakfast today.
We came here for lunch and had a wonderful experience! The indoor seating was packed, so we chose to sit outside. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating—especially helpful for families with strollers. They helped us find space for the stroller and even provided hot water to warm up baby milk, which we really appreciated.
Why the world did I wait so long to try this place?? I was really excited that Foster City got a new brunch place, this is a restaurant that I didn't even know we needed! I always saw that it was crowded and was afraid to go there, but this past weekend I finally decided to give it a try. The wait actually wasn't too long, it was peak weekend hours and it was about 15 minutes for table for two. I really, really, really like their very organized and transparent wait system. You can even walk around while you wait and then you get notified when your table is ready. Service was excellent, and the food was so so so good. I highly highly recommend this place, but definitely be prepared for a wait. I want to come back and try everything! The chicken croffle thing was delicious and we had a crab benedict thing that was also delicious. But honestly, everything on the menu looks amazing.
